DC Input Voltages on Time Delay Relays
Issue:
I have applied 24VDC input voltage to one of your time delay relays, but the product still doesn’t operate. I know the voltage supply is good.
Solution/Resolution:
Any of our time delay relays that operate on dc are polarity dependent. This means that it is important to connect the “+” & “-” wires to the correct pin per the wiring diagram (see example below). If you have them backwards, the unit will not operate.
If you are using a dc input voltage and the unit does not operate, the first thing to do is reverse the two leads of the input voltage to connect the correct polarity. This usually solves the problem of a non-operating product.
